The Cottage Boarding Cattery is run by a trained Veterinary Nurse who also owns Burmese cats, some of whom are posing for photos in the gallery below.
Visitors are welcome, please arrange to come in and meet us.
Newly constructed in 2023 we are a small cattery with 11 pens allowing boarding for up to 25 cats. We are licenced by East Lindsey Council - licence no AWL0162
The Cottage Boarding Cattery is constructed and maintained with the care and welfare of the cats in mind. All cats are housed in the custom-built luxury cat enclosures separated into individual, double pens.
The cattery is constructed of wood and mesh with UPVC panels to ensure a safe, disease free, dry and draught free environment. Heated sleeping quarters in each pen are controlled with individual temperature thermostats and each pen has an individual light to cause minimal disruption to neighbouring cats.
All cat pens include full-height sleeping quarters and an individual attached, outdoor run. They are well-equipped with bedding, feeding areas and litter trays with sneeze barriers between units. Each pen also caters for the cat’s stimulation and exercise needs through provision of ramps, shelving, climbing areas, scratch posts and toys. Shelving is adequate for cats to sit and lie on with views to the exterior garden in front. Some pens are available with a rear view window from sleeping quarters via a high shelf.
Owners are welcome to bring their cats own bedding if they wish.
Fresh water is provided for each cat on a daily basis in separate water bowls. We stock a variety of wet and dry cat food and are happy to administer special diets and medicines when required. As a minimum, all cats will be fed 2 meals per day.
All cats are provided with a selection of toys to encourage physical and psychological stimulation including but not exclusive to a scratch post and chaser toys. Owners are welcome to bring their own toys in for use.
We are happy to administer medication according to the dosage and frequency details set out by your Vet. This includes insulin injections.
Please discuss this at the time of booking.
